Mapline values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Gapsnap, Inc. d/b/a Mapline and its affiliated companies (together, “Mapline,” “we,” and “us”) collect about you and why, what we may do with that information.

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the information obtained by us through your use of this website and the Services, including Premium Services. Capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy and not otherwise defined shall have the meanings provided for those terms in the Mapline User Agreement.

Changes to This Policy

As Mapline evolves, we may need to update this Policy to keep pace with changes in the Services, our business and laws applicable to us and you; we will, however, always maintain our commitment to respect your privacy. We will post any revisions to this Policy, along with their effective date, in an easy to find area of our website, so we recommend that you periodically check back here to stay informed of any changes. We will ask for your consent to any material changes if required by applicable law. In other cases, please note that your continued use of your Mapline Services account after any change means that you agree with, and consent to be bound by, the new Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any changes in this Policy and do not wish your information to be subject to the revised Policy, you will need to discontinue your use of the Services and close any account that you have established.

Information We Collect

Personal Information” means information that alone or when in combination with other information may be used to readily identify, contact, or locate you, such as: name, address, email address, or phone number. We do not consider Personal Information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not allow a third party to easily identify a specific individual.

We may collect information directly from you and from third-party resellers of the Services. In addition to the uses listed below, we use information, including Personal Information, for internal and service-related purposes to provide and improve any of our services. We may anonymize or aggregate data collected through the Services and use and disclose it for any purpose.

When you visit and use our Services or open our emails, we and our third-party partners, such as advertising networks, social media widgets, and analytics providers may collect certain information by automated means, such as cookies, anonymous identifiers, tracking pixels and similar technologies on our Services to help us provide our Services to you. The information collected in this manner includes IP address, browser characteristics, device IDs and characteristics, operating system version, language preferences, referring URLs, and information about the usage of our Services. We may link this data to your profile. Our partners also may collect information about your online activities over time, on other devices, and on other websites or apps. When they provide such services, they are governed by their own privacy policies. You may be able to change browser settings to block and delete cookies when you access the Services through a web browser. However, if you do that, the Services may not work properly.

Specifically, Mapline uses Google Analytics, Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting, and Integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect information through cookies, anonymous identifiers, tracking pixels and similar technologies. These services collect information such as how often users visit this Services and what pages they visit when they do so. Visitors can opt-out of the Google Analytics Advertising Features through Ad Settings, Ad Settings for mobile apps, or Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs for the web.

Information We Share About You

We do not share any personally identifiable information about you with any third party, except to our trusted partners who assist us in providing the Services to you. For example, we use third party services to store data, facilitate sending/receiving email, and to geocode addresses and acquire the latitude and longitude coordinates of addresses to place pins on maps.

When you are connected to an account with multiple users, we may share any information in your account with the others users connected to the same account. You may also use the Services to share maps and data with other users of the Services and non-users of the Services, such as through email or social media. We may share the information as directed by you. You may also grant permission to others to see your maps and data.

We may access, preserve, and disclose collected information, if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; respond to your requests; comply with the law; or protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety.

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract.


We do not rent, sell, or share personal information (as defined by California Civil Code § 1798.83) about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies for their direct marketing purposes, unless we have your permission. We may allow access to data collected by the Services to enable the delivery of online advertising on the Services and on other websites and online services, or to otherwise send information we think may be useful or relevant to you.

Children’s Privacy

Mapline is a general audience service that does not target children under 13 years of age, and Mapline does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently obtained information in violation of applicable laws prohibiting collection of information from children under 13 without such consent, we will promptly take steps to delete it.

International Users

If you are visiting from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, you agree to the transfer of your information to the United States and processing globally. Data Security

Mapline is committed to protecting the security of your information (including Content) and takes reasonable precautions to protect it. We use industry standard encryption to protect your data in transit. However, Internet data transmissions, cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and as a result, we cannot ensure the security of information during its transmission between you and us; accordingly, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your data, we protect it on our servers using a combination of administrative, physical and logical security safeguards. If Mapline learns of a security system breach, we may attempt to notify you and provide information on protective steps, if available, through the email address that you have provided to us or by posting a notice on our web Services and/or via other communication platforms.
