Using Mapline, you can easily create a map of New Zealand regions.
WHAT’S IN A NEW ZEALAND REGION?
Resting in the southwestern part of the Pacific Ocean, the island country of New Zealand ranks highly in terms of education, economic freedom, health, and quality of life. Its market economy is dominated by exporting dairy products.
The country is made up of 16 regions. 11 among these regions are administered by regional councils while the remaining 5 are administered by unitary authorities.
Some responsibilities of a regional council are:
- Civil defense
- Flood and river control
- Harbor and water navigation
- Hazardous waste
- Public transport planning
- Reserves
- Regional pest management
- Supervision of the safety of dams
ADD NEW ZEALAND REGIONS TO MAP
The first step is to click the ADD button. Select TERRITORIES from the drop-down menu then click FROM MAPLINE’S REPOSITORY.
Instead of scrolling down from the SELECT TERRITORIES option, type in NEW ZEALAND in the search bar and then select REGIONS.
Now you’re almost done. There’s just one more step to make.
Pro Tip: Aside from the region boundaries, you can also choose to add statistical area boundaries to your map.
CHOOSE REGION COLORS
