How to Add Locations to an Existing Dataset

There are a few different ways to add locations to your existing datasets. If you are adding many new locations to your dataset, it would be best to replace the dataset. If you are only adding a few locations, you can either type them in or copy and paste them directly into your dataset in Mapline:
  1. Click the “Mapline” logo in the top left corner.
  2. Click “Datasets” to open the Dataset Library.
  3. Open your dataset.
  4. Paste in or type the information for the new locations in the yellow highlighted row at the bottom of your dataset.

You can also add locations directly into the dataset while still on the map page:

  1. Open your map.
  2. Click on the drop down menu to the right of the dataset name.
  3. Select “View Data.”
  4. Paste in or type the information for the new locations in the yellow highlighted row at the bottom of your dataset.

This method is the quickest method to add locations:

  1. Open your map.
  2. Click on the drop down menu to the right of the dataset name.
  3. Select “Add Pins.”
  4. Drop pins by clicking on the map.
  5. Click “Done.”
