Quick Reference Guide

ADD CONTROL: VISUALIZATIONS

Link your dataset rows direclty to a Mapline chart or report! Transform raw data into dynamic charts and reports with a visualization dataset column, enabling quick and informed decision-making. What a fantastic way to streamline your operations with an immediate, visual representation of key metrics! Visualizations can also be a game-changer for tracking follow-up actions, giving you the insights you need to ensure quick adjustments and more strategic decisions.

Whether it’s spotting trends, identifying outliers, or simply staying updated, visualization control columns empower your team to stay ahead of the curve. Let’s dive into how you can set up these powerful tools and revolutionize your workflow with just a few clicks.

CREATE VISUALIZATION

First, name your new control column and select the type of visualization you want to add to your dataset. Choose from the following:

  • Chart: Create a new bar, pie, donut, line, area, or scatter chart and link to it from your dataset column
  • Report: Create a new report and link to it from your dataset column

Once you’ve made your selection, you’re ready to configure your visualization settings.

CONFIGURE SETTINGS

Whether you create a new chart or a new report, you have several customization options to choose from:

  • Display Type: Determine whether you want your visualization to appear in full-screen
  • Select Source: Select your source dataset for this visualization
  • Add Filter: Apply filters to ensure your visualization only includes the data you need
  • Settings: Determine which dataset columns to include in your visualization

When you’re done, click NEXT to configure your chart or customize your report and you’re good to go!

LEVERAGE VISUALIZATION

Now, you have a new dataset column with a chart or report icon. When you click this icon, it opens your visualization right there, so you never have to navigate away from your dataset.

Share this dataset or create a new view to give your team access to this new visualization column. There’s no better way to keep tabs on sales figures, conversion rates, or performance metrics to ensure your team is always at the top of their game.
