ADD SCHEDULE AUTOMATION
ADD SCHEDULE
To add a schedule automation, start from the Mapline home screen and click the orange ADD NEW ITEMS button. From the menu, select Automation, then choose New Automation. Enter a clear, descriptive name for your automation so it’s easy to recognize later.
Under the CONFIGURE A SCHEDULE section, click ADD SCHEDULE to begin setting when your automation should run. This step is helpful because it separates what your automation does from when it runs, giving you flexibility to reuse workflows on different schedules.
Pro Tip: Use multiple schedules on a single automation to support different operational rhythms. For example, you can run a lightweight data refresh every hour during business hours and a deeper workflow, like territory rebuilding or route optimization, overnight. This lets Mapline work harder when your team is offline, so everything is ready when the day starts.
CONFIGURE SCHEDULE
In the schedule window, begin by naming your schedule and selecting the correct time zone to ensure it runs at the intended local time. Next, choose your start date and start time, which determines when the automation first triggers. Set how often it should repeat—such as every hour, day, week, month, or year—depending on how frequently your data or operations change.
If needed, select an end date, or leave the default setting as NEVER to keep the automation running indefinitely. Click OK to apply the schedule; this is beneficial because it locks in predictable, hands-off execution without requiring manual reruns.
SAVE AUTOMATION
After configuring your schedule, you can add additional schedules or attach workflows to the automation if needed. When everything is set, click SAVE to activate it. Your automation will now appear under the AUTOMATIONS tab on the Mapline home page, listed under the name you created earlier. This makes it easy to monitor, edit, or disable automations as your needs evolve. Saving finalizes the setup and ensures Mapline can begin running the automation automatically.
