You can open your report by single clicking the name, double clicking anywhere on the row, or by single clicking on the row and clicking the “Open” button. If you don’t have a report created, you can create one in seconds!
2. Click the filter icon
Once your report is open, click the filter icon that appears in the upper left corner of your screen.
3. Choose which information to target
When the filter display window first appears, you will be able to choose between “any” or “all.” If “any” is selected, locations that meet any of the criteria that you specify will appear in the report. If “all” is selected, only locations that meet all of the specified criteria will appear in the report. Next, select a column from the provided drop down menu. You can filter by any column containing text, number, or date data.
4. Choose a filter type
Text, number, and date data each have unique filters that can be applied. If you are filtering by employee, store, or any other name-based column, select “Text Filters.” If you have numeric data that you would like to filter by (such as quantity of sales or number of employees), select “Number Filters.” Alternatively, if you are filtering based on a date, select “Date Filters.”
5. Choose your filter criteria
For filtering based on text or numeric values, you can enter the criteria you would like to filter by in the provided text box, or select the value from a checklist that appears when accessing the drop down menu. To base your filter off of another column in your dataset, select the column that you would like to filter by in the “Column” menu.
6. Add more additional filters
To add more filters, you can select “Logic” to add another single filter or you can select “Group” to start a series of filters linked together.
7. Click “Apply”
When you have finished adding the filters you would like, hit “Apply” to see the updated view of the report.
8. Create Preset
If you decide you would like to save the filter settings as a preset, on the filter settings window click the icons at the top right corner. The icon with an arrow pointing to a filter will save the current settings as a preset. The plain filter icon will allow you to load previously saved presets and apply them to your report. The circular arrow icon will allow you to reset the filters and have a blank canvas to work with.
