DATASETS: THE CORE OF YOUR ANALYTICS
Datasets are the foundation of everything in Mapline. Whether you’re mapping customer locations, sales territories, or tracking performance, datasets allow you to bring in any data you need—addresses, sales numbers, customer statuses, and more. Once your data is in Mapline, you can easily manage and update it, ensuring you’re always working with the most current information. You can either manually copy and paste data from spreadsheets or use the API to automatically sync it with Mapline.

MAPS: VISUALIZE YOUR DATA
Once your dataset is in Mapline, it’s time to bring it to life with maps. Create a new map, and start adding pins from your dataset. Whether it’s customer locations or technician dispatch areas, each pin represents a row from your dataset. The beauty of Mapline is its flexibility—maps and datasets are separate, so you can connect one dataset to multiple maps or vice versa, giving you total control over how your data is displayed. Use the styling options to adjust pin colors, shapes, and labels to best suit your needs.

FILTERS + SEGMENTS: DRILL DOWN INTO YOUR DATA
With Mapline’s powerful filtering and segmenting tools, you can easily focus on specific subsets of data. Filters allow you to display only the data that meets certain conditions, like showing only inactive customers or those with sales above a certain threshold. Segments, on the other hand, divide your data into groups based on unique values, such as customer type or sales region, allowing you to color-code and visually differentiate groups on your map.

TERRITORIES + SHAPES: ORGANIZE YOUR COVERAGE
Mapline’s territory tools let you define geographic areas with shapes or custom boundaries. Whether you’re drawing a circle around a technician’s coverage area or using pre-defined government boundaries like states or counties, territories help you organize and analyze data across regions. Dynamic Data enhances this feature by allowing you to add additional data about the territories themselves, such as total sales or population statistics.

ADVANCED FEATURES: HEAT MAPS, ROUTING, + DYNAMIC STYLING
Heat Maps: Visualize data density by creating color-coded zones around your pins, helping you spot trends like high-sales areas or regions with the most customers.
Routing: Create optimized routes for your team, ensuring that they visit locations in the most efficient order. Use Mapline’s routing tool to draw shapes on the map and plan your team’s route accordingly.
Dynamic Styling: Customize pin and territory colors based on metrics like sales, allowing you to instantly see which areas are performing the best or need attention.
