- Map Territory Information
Map Territory Information allows you to instantly attach structured boundary data to every record in your dataset. Instead of manually identifying which county, zip code, district, or region a location belongs to, Mapline automatically assigns that territory information for you. This is powerful because many business decisions—from sales coverage to compliance reporting—depend on geographic boundaries. By adding territory data as a dataset column, you can filter, group, analyze, and automate based on region without extra data prep. It transforms simple address data into structured, territory-aware intelligence.
WHAT IS MAP TERRITORY INFORMATION?
Map Territory Information is a Geo-Enriched Data Column that assigns official geographic boundaries to each record in your dataset. These boundaries can include administrative regions such as zip codes, counties, provinces, congressional districts, or custom territories you’ve already created. Instead of relying on manual lookup or external tools, Mapline automatically determines which boundary each location falls within. This is especially valuable for territory management, compliance tracking, reporting by region, and operational planning. Use Map Territory Information whenever geographic boundaries influence how you assign, analyze, or act on your data.
