How to Create a Territory Map
Territory mapping brings your data to life—whether your boundary lines are by state, county, zip code, area code or something in between. Ready to take your spreadsheet data to the next level with Mapline? Follow these 8 simple steps to learn how to create a territory map:
- Open your map.
- Click “Add.”
- Select “Boundaries.”
- Select the boundary you want to add, such as “U.S. Zip Codes.”
- Select the “Fill Color” to add colors to your map. Choose from “Random Colors,” Uniform Color,” “Heatmap on Pins Inside Boundaries,” or “Paste Colors from a Spreadsheet.”
- Click “OK.”
- Click the label icon beside the territory set at the left sidebar if you want all the labels appear all at once.
- Now sit back and view your territory map!
Color Code Your Map Territories
Once you’ve created your territory map, take advantage of other mapping tools, such as color coding. Simply choose the colors that best represent your data. Follow these 6 steps to color code your territory map:- Open your map.
- Click the arrow to the left of the territory boundary you want to edit.
- Click the drop-down menu next to the individual territory that you want to change.
- Select “Style.”
- Choose your color by selecting a preset color, or by clicking “Edit” and entering a hex code.
- Click “OK.”
